Actually, once you install TX Looker and connect to your TFS server via TX Looker, all your work items will appear in Outlook automatically.

The link below walks you through the whole process from the very beginning.

Alena,
interesting thoughts. Looks like you are challenging the whole concept of ALM as viewed by the general public. o_O...

Alena,
I never thought of it that way actually.
So you are saying that VSTS isn't an ALM tool? Cuz the way you draw the line between sdlc and alm, vsts fits into the sdlc category only.

That's precisely what I'm saying. VSTS leaves people that do not write code out of the picture. Marketing and Sales are part of the team too, they too should be able to see how the projects are progressing and be able to contribute ideas. =)...

Hey everyone!
I recently posted an entry in TeamExpand blog discussing the difference between SDLC (System Development LifeCycle) and ALM (Application Lifecycle Management). Those two often get confused, as SDLC tools are misrepresented as ALM by their developers and mistaken by the general pblic. Here's the post (http://teamexpand.com/ext/blog/3.html), hope it helps to clear things out. =)...

First of all, the ide of work-item based e-mail is great. I've been enjoying it a lot!

However, when you are discussing the entire project, or a set of work items from a certain project, this feature is not enough. It would be great to be able to create a Project-based email, for instance...or to be able to create a single e-mail based on more than one work item.

Please look into it!

Thanks.

You'll be surprised =)
We are already working on something similar to that. =)
